13 Events I'll Remember from 2006

Thirteen Events I'll Remember from 2006

I won't be around during the last week of the year to do my year in review for 2006, so I'm doing it now. During the last week of the year I'll be in North Carolina visiting with my brother and his family. I'll finally get to meet my nieces and nephew (which I am very excited about!) and hopefully track down some good barbecue to eat!

  1. Spending the summer in an almost legal battle with my school regarding my return to the program in September.
  2. Our visit to Mt. St. Helens on May 16th and being there when a small rock slide took place on the lava dome.
  3. Searching forever to find an internship, then finally getting one!
  4. Deciding very last minute to fly to Pennsylvania to visit Pooky's family for my birthday. I still fondly recall the wonderful pizza and Chinese food we got to eat.
  5. Pooky calling me to say a lost kitten was found in the Home Depot parking lot. She is now feline clan member #6 and rules the roost!
  6. Having weird winter weather: first floods, then snow, then horrible winds. I am very thankful that there hasn't been any earthquakes or volcanic eruptions (crossing my fingers that these don't happen!)
  7. Touring the Pittock Mansion in Portland. I'm still in awe of how it must have been to live in such a large "house"! Also visiting the Vista House overlooking the Columbia Gorge. Spectacular!
  8. Surviving my first 3 months of my internship! I'm behind on client contact hours, but I knew going into my internship I was on the extended plan. For some reason, I've thought if I could make it to January, I could make the rest of the year.
  9. We bought Inky! I love my Ion!
  10. Not winning a blue ribbon at the Puyallup Fair, but rather getting only an honorable mention on one of my doilies. Ironically, my sister took first place on the very first item she entered. LOL!
  11. Attending my first Ren-Faire. While there I had my aura photographed and found out that my aura is green! I was hoping for it to be blue or purple. Not green!
  12. My first two clients and sessions with them not going very well at all. Nothing like starting off with falling down flat!
  13. Pooky getting his CPAP machine: we all finally get a good night's sleep!

Tell me what are the events from 2006 that you'll remember the most?
