Greetings and salutations from The Unknowable Shrone. Nobody knows what a Shrone is, therefore they are unknowable. Shrone also is a town in the country of Ireland. One day I hope to visit the town of Shrone as I believe it to be my native soil. I have also recognized others as being Shrones. They are featured in the Hall of Shrones.
For more than twenty years I've dealt with the chronic disease of ulcerative colitis. In 2005 I decided to have surgery to have a permanent ileostomy. While that experience turned out to be quite the ordeal, I have since gained back my life. People with Inflammatory Bowel Disease are not widely understood because of the stigma attached to the bodily function of defecation. I hope to do my part to be open and honest about what it is like to have this disease. Living with an ileostomy is different, but it has brought me freedom and a renewed life. My life is improved and better since becoming an ostomate.
I studied pre-medicine and biology (even went to naturopathic medical school for one quarter), have earned certification in web development, and I also run my own wedding officiant business. At the end of September 2004, I began the Systems Counseling track as a graduate student at LIOS (Leadership Institute of Seattle at Bastyr University). I successfully completed the first of two years of the program in June 2007. I anticipate completing my internship at the end of 2007 and graduate in December. My internship is at Good Samaritan Child and Family Services in Puyallup. I enjoy working with children and their parents. My dream is to one day open my own private practice in which I will utilize various forms of play therapy, animal-assisted therapy, and an eclectic mix to provide treatment to children, adolescents, and their parents.
I reside in a grand house on Pearl Street with six cats, Mr. Fez Doo, Mr. Smudge B., Mr. Stash Snodgrass, Mr. Luck Dragon Smee, Teddy Montague, and Miss Chatelaine Ming
