13 Resolutions for 2007
Thirteen Resolutions for 2007

I'm back from my visit to North Carolina and had a great time visiting with my brother's family. As time permits, I'll be posting of our adventures. Meanwhile, as I sit in class at Module 3, listening to a lecture on Bowen Family theory and the concept of differentiation, I thought I'd type up my Thursday 13. This edition will be my resolutions for 2007. I think of a resolution as being the projects, goals, and tasks I would like to accomplish this year.

  1. Since I accomplish my 50 Book Challenge, I would like to repeat this awesome goal yet again, but this time my aim is to read at least 50% non-fiction books (meaning reading more "therapist" books).
  2. Get back to my weight of 135 pounds. Somehow I've managed to creep up to a size 12 and I don't want to have to buy a new wardrobe. I'd like to be a size 8 again.
  3. This summer I want to return to bicycling. I really missed not going out for our evening strolls.
  4. Keep in better touch with my family and friends. I often get caught up in the daily routines and suddenly realize it's been months since I've contacted dear friends and family members.
  5. Take a trip to the Grand Canyon! When I flew over it on my way to North Carolina, I vowed at that moment I needed to see the canyon at ground level.
  6. Visit my brother and his family again, but this time with Pooky.
  7. Be a better Big Sister to my Little Sister. I've neglected our friendship this past month and I want to do more with her.
  8. Crochet an Aran sweater. I have the yarn. I have the pattern. Now I just need to find the time.
  9. Create more photobooks.
  10. Continue my quest for Total World Domination.
  11. In 2006 I married 40 couples. For 2007 my goal is to marry 50.
  12. Tame the flower beds and conquer the morning glory vine consuming the yard.
  13. Attend more garlic festivals and renaissance fairs.

That #5 and 13 sounds heavenly in my ears... I must do that some day too!
