Who would use this device and what was its purpose? Answer: A bloodletting device used by a physican circa 1850-1860s. Interestingly, bloodletting wasn't considered bad medicine until about 1900! Bonus: The medical term for bloodletting is phlebotomy

What do you think is inside of this bottle?
I'll give you two hints: it's not an animal or mineral
Answer: A pickle. As seen at an antique medical exhibit. The pickle fills the entire bottle, too. I have no idea how they got the pickle inside of the bottle. Supposedly, drinking the pickle juice was thought to be "good for what ails you." Click on the image to see it larger and you can make out some pickle bumps.
